From Actors to Athletes: Meet the Most Gorgeous Men of Norway

The Fjords, Mountains, and northern lights might not the only things to catch your eye when visiting Norway.

While you won’t find most Norwegian men to fit the Viking stereotype with long hair and beards, they are more likely to impress you with their northern European traits and fashionable clothing.

Here is a list of 10 of the most handsome Norwegian men. 

Nicolai Cleve Broch 

Cleve Broch is one of Norway’s most famous actors. After graduating from the Norwegian Academy of arts in 1999, he made his big break starring in hit movies “buddy” and “Uno” alongside a friend, and fellow actor Axel Hennie in 2003 and 2004. 

His status as an actor was elevated even higher when he portrayed Norwegian war hero Gregers Gram in the Norwegian blockbuster “Max Manus” in 2008.

After receiving critical acclaim for his role in the Norwegian TV series Acquitted in 2015, he would go on to land one of the lead roles in the first Norwegian HBO production “Beforeigners” in 2019. The show is still in production and is available for streaming on HBO max.

His boyish looks have given him a large female following. Unfortunately for admirers, Cleve Broch has been happily married since 2004.

Simon Nitsche 

Simon Nitsche is one of the rising stars in Norwegian television. After studying TV journalism he landed a job in the sports division of the Norwegian broadcasting channel NRK.

He eventually made his way to the front of the camera in 2018, when he became a sports anchor for rival tv station TV2.

This would make him a familiar face to most Norwegians which paved the for him to become one of the contestants in the 2021 Norwegian version of dancing with the stars.

Here he continued to impress the Norwegian viewers and would eventually go on to win, beating former athlete Magnus Moan.

Olav Tufte

As a seven-time Olympian, and twice the Olympic champion, and twice the world champion in the single sculler, Olaf Tufte is the greatest Norwegian rower of all time and one of the greatest in the world.

Tufte grew up on the family farm just outside Horten in Vestfold county. He started rowing at the age of 17 and excelled rapidly. 

After having success in the men’s double scull with partner Fredrik Bekken, Tufte transitioned to the single scull and became the world champion in 2001. 

He defended his title in Milan 2 years later and would go on to become Olympic champion in 2004. Tufte defended his Olympic title in Beijing in 2008, but his form waned in the years following. 

Refusing to put down the oars, Tufte moved back into the quad scull where his career had started. The Norwegian quad qualified for the 2020 Beijing Olympics, enabling Tufte to compete in his 7th Olympic games.

Martin Ødegaard

Martin Ødegaard burst onto the scene to become a football boy wonder and the future of Norwegian football, after making his debut in the Norwegian premier league in 2014-2015.

His talent did not go unnoticed and he was signed by Real Madrid in 2015. After spending time with the youth team and being on loan to premier clubs in the Netherlands, he was never able to secure a spot in the Real Madrid squad.

After being on loan to premier English club Arsenal during the 2021 season, the club decided to make the Norwegian a permanent member by buying him out of his contract with the Spanish club.

In addition to being one of Norway’s best footballers, the Norwegian blonde has also grown to become one of the country’s better-looking bachelors.  

Tobias Santelman

Tobias Santelmann is one of the rising Norwegian actors. While born in Germany, Santelmann moved to Norway at the age of one.

After graduating from the Norwegian Academy of arts he got his start in theatre and stage work before moving onto the big screen.

He got his big break starring in the movie “Kon-tiki” in 2012 which was nominated for the best foreign-language film at both the golden globes and academy awards.

Santelmann has also landed roles in more international productions, such as the BBC production “The last kingdom” and “Hercules” starring Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson.

His success has gained him a lot of fans, and his looks have landed him quite a lot of female attention.

Johannes Høsfloth Klæbo

After Petter Northug and Martin Johnsrud Sundby stepped away from the world cup. Johannes Høsfloth Klæbo is the new Norwegian king of cross-country skiing.

After showing great promise as a sprinter, Klæbo has emerged to become one of the greatest all-around skiers in the world.

At only 25 years of age, Klæbo is already a 3 time Olympic and 6-time world champion and has won the overall world cup title 2 times.

In addition to being a world-class athlete, Klæbo is also a Handsome devil which has landed him several sponsorships and loads of female fans. 

Despite his success, Klæbo remains a humble and polite young man. Unfortunately for any woman wanting to capture this kind of skiing, he announced his relationship with Pernille Døsvik in 2018.

Kyrre “Kygo” Gørvell-Dahl

Kyrre Gørvell-Dahl, better known by his stage name Kygo, is a Norwegian DJ, songwriter, and record producer.

Kygo started taking piano lessons at the age of six but did not pursue a career in music, opting instead to study business and finance at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh.

He did however continue playing piano and making music as a hobby. He gained popularity for creating EDM remixes of popular songs such as “I See Fire” by Ed Sheeran and “Sexual Healing” by Marvin Gaye.

This earned him a record contract and he released his first single “Epsilon” in 2013, followed by “Stole the show” in 2014 which gained international recognition and debuted on several charts worldwide.

Kygo became the first house music producer to perform at an Olympic ceremony in Rio in 2016. In March 2018, Billboard ranked Kygo 3rd on its 2018 ranking of dance musicians titled Billboard Dance 100. In 2018, he was ranked 32 on DJ Mag’s Top 100 DJs of the world.

Aksel Lund Svindal

Aksel Lund Svindal is one of Norway’s most successful alpine skiers and is considered one of the greatest racers of all time.

After making his debut in the world cup at age 20 in 2003, Svindal would become a serious contender in his third season.

Despite having to deal with several injuries over his 17-year career, Svindal managed to secure 2 overall world cup titles, 2 Olympic gold medals, and 5 world championship gold medals.

After the 2019 season Svindal announced his retirement. Over the course of his career, Svindal was one of Norway’s most sought-after bachelors until he announced his relationship to Norwegian hurdler Amalie Iuel.

Mats Zuccarello Aasen

Mats Zuccarello is Norway’s greatest ice hockey player of all time. After having success in the Norwegian and Swedish leagues, he was signed as a free agent by the New York Rangers in 2010.

He struggled to make the team and spent a year in the Russian league before finally recurring a roster spot for the rangers in the 2012-2013 season.

Zuccarello would eventually emerge as one of Ranger’s best players, and On 23 October 2018, Zuccarello became the ninth player in Rangers history to lead the team in points for three consecutive seasons.

Despite several rumors, the Norwegian-Italian magician on the ice has yet to announce a love interest. 

Petter Stordalen

Stordalen is a successful Norwegian Billionaire businessman who is the founder and owner of Nordic Choice Hotels, one of the largest Scandinavian hotel chains.

Stordalens’s career started when he became the youngest shopping center manager in the country when he headed what was then Norway’s largest shopping mall, City Syd in Trondheim in 1987.

He would later enter the commercial real estate business and make his initial fortune as the CEO of Steen & Strøm invest which was Norway’s largest owner of commercial real estate in the mid-1990s.

After Stordalen had a falling out with the largest shareholder, Stein Erik Hagen, he was asked to leave his position as CEO.

Following his departure from Steen & Strøm, Storalen would join up with Norwegian investor Christen Sveaas to start nordic choice hotels.

Stordalen has a vigorous workout routine and an impressive physique. This made him one of Norway’s most sought-after bachelors after his divorce in 2019, however, in 2020 he announced his relationship with former Swedish showjumper Märta Elander Wistén.
